American Airlines B737 arrival in Orlando
American Airlines flight 244, a Boeing 737-800 is seen making its final descent and landing into Orlando International (MCO) all the way from Los Angeles (LAX). Flying time was 4 hours & 50 minutes. The flight was very nice! The flight attendant’s were very nice (so was the captain, not the first officer) and they came around multiple times offering snacks for sale and complimentary drinks. There are power ports at every seat but with my luck they did not work in my row! Enjoy the video! – - Interesting story: As usual I went into the cockpit and talked to the pilot and got some nice pictures
My mother was out side with the first officer and she was telling him how I want to fly commercial aircraft one day. He said “You should talk your son out of it. It is not worth it. It took me 10 years to get where I am now & we don’t make much money. My friend drives a truck for a major retail store and only makes 00 less them me.” An In-Flight crew member then said “You should always go for your dreams”. That just blew my mind when my mother told me that! How can you tell a kid wanting to fly one day that?! I lost all respect for that man. As we exited the plane he said “have a nice day” to me and I looked him in the eye and shook my head and walked off the plane. That man right there should not be flying. If he thinks it is not worth it then why did he do it in the first place? I think he is a little crazy! Of course it is going to take a long time for you to get where you …

@gandalf1144 I completely understand the responsibility of a pilot and how long it takes to get to a position of being a pilot nevertheless an international pilot. At the time all I can think about is wanting to fly and I am starting to take flight lessons and I am looking at College’s that specialize in aviation.

If you really really want to be a pilot you have to make a really big effort for it because it takes time to get to the international pilot, you have to make many hours flying for to make an international flight but when you finally can there’s nothing better, but i think the only reason i could become a pilot whas because it was my only dream.

@217medusa Depends what type of pilot you are. If you are International it is so nice and you only fly once a week. A domestic pilot, it is a hell of a job! I have wanted to be a pilot for as long as I can remember and I know what it takes to get there and what type of schedule it is. I am willing to do that

Being a pilot is a very exhuasting job. Maybe the man didn’t know how much of a challenge it would be until after all those years. You fly around every week, don’t get to see your family much, and if the planes are delayed, you work overtime, gotta fly from one city to the next, stay in hotels, and stay on top of your game while in the skies. If your ready to take that on, I wish you goodluck.

@TheLiLD95 I would say this is an extremely rare thing for a someone to catch on video, heck I’ve never seen it in person as a passenger. Nice catch. I might add this to the tags or in the title, might catch some aviation buff’s attention!

@TheLiLD95 On the 737 (the airplan that I fly, and of course the one in the video) if flaps 40 is selected and an overspeed (for that flap setting) occurs, the flap protection system automaticaly retracts them to flaps 30 and will then extend them back to flaps 40 once the speed decreases below that setting’s max speed. If flaps 30 are seat and an overspeed occurs they will automatically retract to flaps 25, and will again extend once speed decreases. This protection is only for flaps 30 and 40

@PilotUTA Do the flaps automatically retract if the aircraft is going to fast for that flap setting? I never knew why that happened!
December 3rd, 2010 at 6:22 am
at 2:20 the flaps actualy retract just a bit and then once speed is lowered, they immediately extend again. Thats what happens when we flap overspeed.
