During an impactful press conference held by Vision Airlines at HarborWalk Village today, David Meers, chief operating officer of commercial operations for the airline carrier, announced a major expansion of their routes in and out of Northwest Florida Regional Airport (VPS). Florida Governor Rick Scott, Florida District 4 Representative Matt Gaetz, Destin Mayor “Sam” Seevers, Chairman of the Okaloosa Board of County Commissioners James Campbell, and other dignitaries were on hand to talk about the major impact this will have on Northwest Florida. According to Legendary, Inc. CEO Peter Bos, “This is a long awaited accomplishment for the region, both domestically and internationally. Vision Airlines’ commitment to our region with their value-priced airfares is an unprecedented boost to our local economy. I highly encourage our community to rally behind Vision.”
