The thing is, this is a fairly good imitation of designer shop people. Now, ‘Pretty Woman’ is a pretty popular film- most have seen it, and nobody likes that stuck up shopgirl. So after having seen such a scene, doesn’t it occur to real life shop people who act that way- they are now that bitch??
I always took Andy’s reaction when Maggie comes out wearing the dress like he’s still annoyed about the price and can’t let that go but also realizes that she looks very lovely in it at the same time yet can’t admit it, and it all shuts him up. It’s in that longer-than-you’d-expect-given-how-annoyed-he-is look gives her when she comes out. Could be wrong.
