The fact is that travel agents DO have access to many deals. But they dont always pass the savings onto customers unless you play hardball.
Say you find tickets to Taiwan for $800, they might have a deal for $500, but will sell you the tickets for $750. this way you are happy saving $50, but they make a killing on top of their normal fees.
the internet sucks as far as finding those mega deals. become friends with a travel agent who is experienced and WILL pass the savings on.
I’ve been using Sidestep lately for all my travel and have had a great experience. I used to waste hourse making sure I hit all of the various travel sites. Sidestep does that for me. I haven’t used a travel agent in at least 10 years.
Recently I’ve started buying airline vouchers via ebay anytime I want to fly somewhere that’ll cost me a bit… it comes out damn cheap. I highly suggest it. (just a thought)

Yeah, that’s what I’m doing. That’s why I bring in business all the time to a travel agent that I like.

I also mention Sidestep in the video. It works, but fails miserably (uncompetitive) against a travel agent when it comes to international travel.

I found travel agents give better deals when travelling internationally.

Travel agents are way better than websites!

Peter Lee of Alpha Travel. He’ll give you a better deal if it’s a referral. Tell him I sent you.
