Touring the New SWISS Business Class Seat

I walked through the first A340 to receive the new SWISS business class seat while I was at the inaugural in SFO. This was just after they finished cleaning the airplane. Marc Suhr, SWISS Regional Manager of Ground Service for the Americas walks us through the features.

Flew this aircraft and cabin on Thursday into Zurich. Probably the best business class cabin i’ve seen from any airline — very well designed. Food was nothing special though…

Wow, that is fantastic! I love the styling and functionality of that cabin. They definitely put a great deal of effort into the design.

That looks very nice….Yeah, I like the two seat section instead of the single seat.. first class.. That one seat is crazy looking…

these seats are so comfortable!!! i got upgraded to the business-class when i flew from Boston to Zurich! i slept 6 hours like a baby

Have they brought this in to the A340 yet? Always thought it was only for the A330′s…

It looks quirky, but cool in a way. The seat map on the airline website is confusing, but I think I chose one which is the seat on the aisle with just a table between me and the window. 6J. Anyone got any recommendations?

@2pb I don’t think it’s limited to passengers with status. There are two rows in a separate front biz cabin that’s very private. I believe they call it the stübli. Those are reserved for their elites.

I like the throne seat – Competition for that must be rather fierce though – I imagine it is only available to passengers with status?

not chaotic at all, very elegant and a lot of space!.. but i agree that that the seat is quite narrow and tables are absolutely a disaster..

even i have to work with those new seats in future, i dont like them.
Why : The Table is rubbish.99% of all PAX cant recline it.
The Seat isnt as wide anymore as it used to be.
Less Seats in C-Class
2-1-2 or 1-2-1 … it looks chaotic in the cabin now, in my opinion.
And i dont like the wood everywhere aswell. What does wood have to do with airplanes??
