Thai Airways First Class Service from Gate to Immigration
Thai Airways First Class Service from Gate to Immigration at BKK – Bangkok Airport. Just a small example of the service level quality. Personal buggy is there for you not to make you walk all the way. Then you proceed through Diplomatic Channel – Best First Class Service (Others I had done – Concorde, BA First, Cathay Pacific, Qantas, American Airlines, Lufthansa, Virgin Upper Class and Air Canada/Executive First). Other services include: a host to wait for you at the airport entrance, personal area to rest while your luggage is being checked and boarding pass issued, host to immigration, another buggy to the lounge, full hour of massage, nice shower area, personal room with couches and large screen plasma TV in the lounge, security clearance w/o wait, spotlessly clean planes, high quality pajamas (compared to BA crap), Dom Perignon, caviar, etc…, stewards and stewardesses eager to please and appear faster than the Gennie. At the old airport they used to provide free limo service to downtown – and even ended up calling me in the hotel as I did not reserve the time the day before departure. I am yet to fly Singapore First Class out of SIN (hopefully by the year end) and Emirates (hopefully w/in a year): Other First Class reviews: Cathay Pacific – Fairly impressed by service (offered to make me 3 different stakes so I can decide if I like rare, medium or well done) – I find their seat to be uncomfortable in the semi recline position. It just can’t be properly adjusted so …

Did you get a massage at the lounge? If so do you need to tip them and how much. Thanks.

I have flown 11 different airlines (+40 flights) in the First Class and I have never paid for a single ticket. Miles are by far the best redeemed for First Class tickets and there are ways you can actually end up with 100s of thousands of miles while flying for free…(at least something I learnt flying for work for 10 years)… but if you want to know how…..that would cost you of course.

For those of you who still remember flying some decade ago you will notice that economy “plus” is what regular economy used to be on regular airlines (i.e. not discount airlines), but at that time you had to pay pretty much full fare. So what they basically did was created economy to equal that of discount airlines and charged discount prices and then created economy+ and charged what they used to charge for economy. Of course discount airlines then reduced seat pitch in economy to coffin size.

That can be a huge airport when you have a back pack.
I’m going to try and use my *G upgrade voucher to get into 1st next time I go LHR-BKK. All I want is a big seat, a lounge and fast track immigration. I don’t care about champagne and would happily eat an economy meal.

Great Video.
And your description of the airline experiences you’ve had is always handy for travellers. I won’t be able to afford to fly first class for a while though as I am only a student but very handy all the same.
