Airline Ticket Fares
When I originally made this video, YX (Midwest Airlines) was an amazing airline. They operated 37 aircraft and flew to major cities across the United States. They had Skyway airlines operate Fairchild 328 jets and Beech 1900 turboprops for them under the Midwest Connect name. Skywest airlines had also just begun operating CRJ-200s for them under the Midwest Connect name. Sadly in 9 months (I am writing this as of September 5, 2008) the once proud luxury airline has changed into a struggling …

I love the look of those cabin interiors.

Wasn’t as big on the cookies as most people but loved the seating and service. Those big jets with wide leather seats are missed here at MCI too.

whoever made this apparently loves cookies.

It ist possible for Midwest to regain their previous status? I really miss flying them, sadly last summer maybe have been my last time. Any thoughts?

I flew them last summer and by far it’s one of the best in my opinion. they’re slogan “the best care in the air” is what they live up to. If you have a chance to fly them, please do.

Its amazing that South West is still in operation due to there slouchy custormer s and older modle jets which they have not really updated to larger planes yet like the 757 or 767-400,

ive never flown midwest before (not that i know of at least.) is it good? my neighbor works for midwest but i have never asked her if it is good or not.

They still exist they are just a shadow of there former self meaning they’ve downsized so much and layed off so many people that it doesn’t really seem like Midwest anymore.
December 16th, 2009 at 10:38 pm
i thought midwest still existed
or is it midwest express now?

Is there somewhere where i can find a description of airline jobs?
December 16th, 2009 at 10:38 pm
Simply, rampers are the guys you see servicing the aircraft, marshalling them in, loading bags, etc…it’s a lot of physical work but aircraft wouldn’t go anywhere without them.

What is a ramper? I am looking to start a career in the airline industry at my local airport but i have no idea where to start. Can someone help me out?

@ djsteidl, no… just no

Its a shame how they are going now. I used to work for them as a ramper in MKE, still a somewhat good airline to fly but man they arent what the used to be. Several areas of management suck there thats the problem with some shortsighted moves but all in all they are going to do what they need to

David Siegel got involved last spring. David Siegel is the WORLD”S BIGGEST ASSHOLE! Although his close friend Neil Cohen gives him a lot of competition for that title.
When Siegel is involved with an airline EVERYONE suffers. Employees, passengers, shareholders are all screwed as Dave lines his pockets once again!

I work for Midwest. Once we cut the MD80′s are profits will go up and Midwest will be back making lots of money. Sorry Frontier, but you have a long way to go. Go Midwest and I love Milwaukee.

Would I be better off moving to Singapore, getting singapore pilot’s license’s, and get a job flying for airlines out there? I heard Singapore Airlines was doing well. BTW i have flown on the DO328 jets for KMKE to KBDL. Also once from KMKE to KCMH. When i was little, the flight attendant let me go into the cockpit after the flight and ask the pilot questions for a report i was doing.

Wow….I worked for YX when we had good ole N600ME. The oldest DC-9-10 still in service at the time. I think it was airframe 2 off the assembly line…wow, those were the days.

the seats on this plane are rediculosly big, you have all the room you would want on a plane
December 16th, 2009 at 10:38 pm

December 16th, 2009 at 10:38 pm
honestly the way the airlines are now (6 have went under in the last 2 weeks alone) none of them. Get a corporate gig or charter. I quit a while ago and fly for NetJets now.
