Henry, I used to fly this Lady between Rio-Galeao and Asuncion, back in the early ´90´s, just for fun, I was single at that time, with no wife and children and a lot of time for plane globetrotting!!!

Tenía entendido que la FAB , lo cambiaria junto a seis Xavantes por un numero no determinado de de Tucanos y lo utilizaria como fuente de piezas para la flota de KC 137, sabes algo al respecto?

Lapsa dejó de operar en 1994, fue substituida por un consorcio paraguayo-ecuatoriano, actualmente el detentor de las lineas (algunas) es TAM Mercosur.

Sim é verdade, mas eu me referia da sua capacidade de passageiros, se a Boeing investisse em um avião intercontinental desse porte com custos operacionais menores ele poderia alcançar mercados menos expressivos. O Boeing 747, 777 e até o 767 são grandes demais para operarem em algumas rotas com um mediano número de passageiros, eles tem que embarcarem com pelo menos 70% de sua capacidade total!

Este mismo avion, el Boeing 707-321B ZP-CCF se encuentra en el Aeropuerto “Silvio Pettirossi” pertenece actualmente a la Fuerza Aerea Paraguaya si mal no me equivoco se utilizo hasta el año 2004/2005 por la Seleccion Paraguaya de Futbol para sus compromisos internacionales, el cual se dejo de utilizar por las constantes fallas mecanicas como de estructura

El B707 tiene un alto costo operativo consume 15000 litros de combustible/hora siendo que el B737 solo es de 5000 litros por eso la mayoria de las aerolineas regionales utilizan el B737

That is a former Pan Am 321B and is not hush-kitted.Pan Am retired their last 707 in 1980.
Most of their 321Bs found a new life with
some south american carriers.They are all
long gone now.

Great startup sound and beautiful looks from the outside, but I don’t fancy flying in one again. Todays passenger-aircraft are more comfortable…
