They Made 8 only T/A Convertibles ’69′s and for the lost one probley totaled in a crash that might have been documented but maybe got lost I hope not and It might be sitting in a barn on a 100 acor farm onwed by a old widowed Gradma that don’t have a clue what she has in there if so it might be found one day hopefully by me

There were 8 made. 5 were ordered by GM executives. The price for one of these is amazing. This vid is a “re-creation” abt 30k up?? Real deal is 7 figures then a decimal….. I know of one that is unmolested to the pont of no bolt turned, no restoration done, (some needed) still has original air filter etc. other 7 have been given 100k up restoration jobs.

@ ahot427.I believe there were 8 convertibles made.4 autos and 4 manual transmission cars.Anybody remember John Davidson from the show Thats Incredible?At one time he had one of the auto cars.

Did you know that there was only TWO number’s matching 69 Trans Am drop-tops made in 1969? I remember reading a letter to the editor in Hot Rod magazine back in the late 70′s, about a guy that had a 1969 T/A Convertible in rough condition, gave PHR mag the VIN number. Their reply was that his was ONE of only two produced. 1 year later the car was featured on the front cover FULLY restored! The PHR editor asked “who has the other one?” That one has never been found…
